I’ve been exploring creating Irish Lace with non-traditional materials. Irish Lace has been historically created in crochet cotton or thread. Creating these works in an undyed natural Icelandic wool allow them to take on a quality which shows the beauty of the traditional stitches as well as the unique characteristics of the yarn.
